I love to see games go to the deciding 7th to find a winner in the series. Last night Boston Bruins took the early lead to take command of the 6th game and force a 7th to be played in Boston on Thursday. The Bruins showed up in Carolina to play hockey,and not to try to even up the score from the previous game when Carolina's Scott Walker supposedly sucker punched Bruins, Ward. Did Detroit's management feel that they needed the extra revenue that they will receive by playing the 7th game at home. Last night they lost 2-1 to Carolina to force a 7th game on home ice. This is a team that finished 1st in their division playing an 8th placed team. In the previous 2 games Detroit out scored Carolina 10-4. Last night they only managed 1 goal and that came in the last 3 minuets of play on the power play. We may now be witnessing another upset involving a west coast team. San Jose was knocked out of contention by the same scrappy Hurricanes that are looking to do the same to the Red Wings. Oh how I love watching playoff hockey. Hockey at it’s best.
