Who ever heard of Penguins living in Pittsburgh. Last night on foreign ice the Penguins made history by beating the Detroit Red Wings in the 7th game of the Stanley Cup. The 1st team since 1971 to win in the 7th game away from home. They accomplished this by holding Detroit scoreless in the 1st period and then scoring 2 goals in the 2nd period. Their defensive game came to life in the 3rd period only allowing 1 goal on 8 shots and hung on near the end of the game with some great saves by goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. Final score 2-1. After replacing their coach Michel Therrien in mid season with Dan Bylsma whom the Penguin brass brought up from their minor team in the AHL the Penguins started to jell under this new coaching ideas and rose from 10th position to 4th,and into the playoffs to eventually win the coveted Stanley Cup. This team is to be reckoned with for years to come .
